Today, we are going to be having a conversation with Edgar Ortiz, he is currently a certified athletic trainer and enjoys playing video games and cycling.
Before we get started with the show I want to take a moment to talk about 2 things that are taking a lot of time out of peoples days right now. At least for me, I’ve spent the last few days thinking a lot and spending a lot of time consuming news to stay up to the minute on these 2 topics.
I’ll start with the positive topic of the spaceX and NASA rocket launch to the international space station and the hope that it brings to many people in the world. It gets me pump to get to see the live stream of every step it takes to make this possible, the amount of people involved and the technology. Even with everything negative going on in the world today, it feels good to know that there are people out there that are still innovating, progressing and pushing the boundaries of what humans are capable of.
This brings me to my second topic, there are a lot of people suffering right now. They fear many things that have turned into a snowball of pain such as Covid19, George Floyd, riots, looting, unemployment to name a few. The first thing to keep in mind is that the pandemic is still going on and we can’t lose track of that, it has killed many people already and each one of us needs to be responsible with how we protect ourselves so that we can protect the loved ones around us as well. Having peaceful protests is a tool that we the people can use to push for change but unfortunately there are always a few bad people in every city that take advantage of the chaos to be selfish and cause more damage like the people breaking into businesses to steal. Just like the police officers involved in the killing of George Floyd, I don’t think all cops are bad and I don’t think all protesters are out to start a riot. But in both scenarios we need to have good police officers take some accountability and step in to check their partners actions and prevent further killings. We also need good people to step in and prevent further damages to your communities infrastructure.
Ultimately, there are good and bad people, there are moments in life that are going to be painful to go through and moments of happiness. I like to believe that most people have good intentions and put their energy into creating positive changes for the world. That’s just my opinion and the way that I feel right now.
Let’s get started with the show…
